Notes of a Genius

Hoe zorg je ervoor dat je informatie die je hoort onthoud en terug kan halen op het juiste moment?

‘Aantekeningen maken’ is het meest gehoorde antwoord. Maar wat als je handschrift slecht is, of je hebt geen systeem waar je je aantekeningen bij houd. En wat schrijf je wél en wat schrijf je niet op. De oplossing is: Visuele aantekeningen maken.

Visual Notes

Visual Notetaking is een combinatie van tekeningetjes en tekst. Het zorgt ervoor dat je een beeld maakt van de informatie, en een beeld onthoud je vele malen makkelijker dan een stuk tekst.

Doodlen

Het begon als ‘tijdsverdrijf’, je kent het wel; je luistert naar iemand en je tekent ondertussen wat in de kantlijn. Dat heet Doodlen. Waarom dat goed is voor je hersenactiviteit vertel in onder andere in deze e-learning. Ik tekende ook, eerst icoontjes, daarna poppetjes, daarna omgevingen. Alles had te maken met de informatie. Het beeld wat ontstond gaf een samenvatting van de informatie en ik kon daarmee de inhoud veel beter terug halen. Nu blijkt het ook je concentratie met bijna 30% te verbeteren.
